The levels are for Grades 3-4 (Age 8-10 yrs), Grades 5-6 (Age 10-12 years) and Grades 7-8 (Age 12-14 years). The articles are in adherence to Common Core Standards and follow the scientific process of Lexile levels to customize the news to different reading and learning capacities
